Join us for a night of Ceilidh dancing, music, and merriment. We are bringing The Sassenachs Ceilidh Band, to the Greenland Dock Festival, in December 2024!!
Ceilidh, traditional Scotish and Irish social gatherings, are inherently inclusive. No prior dance experience is needed -just a willingness to step outside your comfort zone and embrace the spirit of shared joy. We believe everyone, regardless of age, background or dance ability, deserves to experience the exhilarating magic of a ceilidh.
Don't forget that most of the people that actually built the docks were from Irish origins.
The Sassenachs Ceilidh band will get everyone on their feet, from gentle dance to foot-stomping jigs.
There will be a caller to ensure everyone feels comfortable joining in.
Open to all and family friendly atmosphere.
It is made possible by the Cultural Celebrations fund awarded by Southwark Council,
If you would like to participate please book a spot. IT IS FREE!!!

How much does it cost to run fairy lights in a flat or a boat for a month? The cost of running fairy lights depends on their wattage and how long you keep them on. Generally, it's a relatively low cost. For a more accurate estimate, you can use an online electricity cost calculator: Festive Lights energy CALCULATOR "Modern Christmas lights use LEDs rather than filament bulbs which are less energy efficient, and even a fairly comprehensive outdoor Christmas lights display is likely to cost less than the cost of a burger and fries to power for an entire month.
